Philip island is heaven on earth. I really enjoyed every single station in this trip; I highly recommend it.

My Mum and I were picked up in the city at 11:50am. After an hour of picking up others, we then made our way to A PETROL STATION! The penguins do not come out until dusk, but we had several hours of stop offs at servos really. We had one stop off for 1hr at a zoo with a coffee shop - we could have gone straight to there to save stopping at a servo on the motorway. The weather was bad so when we went to the "Nobbies" again, we just had to sit in a large food hall as there was nothing else to do around. Same as Sam Reno - everything was shut so we ended up going back on the bus. We got to the penguins at 6:30. They opened the doors to the viewing area about 1.5 hours before and then penguins came out about 8pm. We sat in the rain waiting in the freezing cold for a long time. No photography allowed as the lights from the cameras / phones damages their eyes and they then will lose their sight / not be able to hunt and then die - so please don't take photos. The coach was comfortable but a tour that leaves the city later would be better to save spending the day eating junk at servos. We got dropped back off at 23:40 and missed our train at Flinders St so a Flinders drop off on the way home would have been better as it would have saved me just under $40 in a cab.

Great experiences with a great tour guide and driver- positive, friendly, passionate and dedicated to making our day one to remember! We had a great time making amazing memories- learned loads (thanks to our very knowledgeable guide) and had lots of fun! Lewis genuinely added so much to both trips, we can’t thank him enough! Xx

We had a wonderful time! We’re a family of 4 with 2 children, 8 and 10, and autopia tours was so helpful from booking to the end. I was a little anxious with the number of stops we were heading to and the hours but everything was really well planned and evenly spaced out. Duane, our driver, was with us every step of the way, made it really stress-free and pleasant for us and the kids. He was very patient too! This is definitely the highlight of our trip to Melbourne. The attached photo is how close we got to the kangaroos and that was only one of the best parts of our trip!

We went out from our hotel one hour earlier, but unhappily the Google Maps did not help too much finding the address to meet the van. We were ten minutes late and the guide was in a horrible mood. Our ask for excuses were ignored, and in the whole trip he used an impossible English to understand. I asked some German tourists if they were understanding something, and they said barely nothing....Because of that, I guess we lost a lot of information. The food served was terribly bad and also nobody told us we had to wear clothes for 5 C with rain to see the penguins. Be aware....

No WiFi in the bus so the description is wrong and lunch is very basic. Just a simple sandwich which is not that good and a tea . Otherwise it was a good day , we saw different places :)

We sat and waited on a very cold seating area outside for around 45 minutes until the sun went down. People were told not to take pictures but as usual this was ignored in some cases, I would have liked to see these people told to leave the area. Extremely busy with mostly Chinese tourists on their holidays. Impossible to get a good view when the penguins emerged from the sea as they were too far away, I’m sure they were too frightened to come onto the beach area where we were seated so quite disappointed 😔

This is a once in a life time experience watching those adorable penguins coming home from the sea. We feel we could have left a little later from Melbourne. The traffic turned out light and we had a lot of extra time. Our guide was great at offering several other options to fill up the gap though including a chocolate shop, helicopter rides, or directly to the beach. I wish the return time was a little later. The penguins took their time once ashore and didn't start walking home right away. I wish i could stay longer and watch more.

My husband and I were visiting for our honeymoon, and we were excited to see the Penguin Parade. Our tour guide was great and we enjoyed all of the stops that we made on this day trip. Australia has so much to offer for sightseeing, so we really enjoyed ourselves. The only part that was a little disappointing was the penguin parade at the end of the tour. There aren't as many penguins to see as we were under the impression. Also, the event is so packed with tourists that people make it difficult to see the penguins coming out of the water, because they block all the good views. If you're going to attend this parade, I recommend you pay the upgrade price of getting the preferred seating so that you are up close to where the penguins come out of the water. We sat in the general seating area, and it was disappointing. We did see penguins and enjoyed the experience, but it was while we were walking towards the exit that we saw the penguins along the boardwalk area.
